Pale, more so than the "basic" Noval.
Still some fruit on the nose but not much development.
More evolved in the mouth, well balanced, not much tannin left, but some remaining fruit.
Overall quite nice, but a little disappointed.

Re: 1991 Noval
Still fairly deep colour; initially thought it was maybe a bit dirty on the nose with some odd notes. Much better in the mouth, although alcohol a bit out of balance, still some drying tannin.
Later on, nose was better with some nice development, but alcohol still too forward.

Quite deep colour; muted nose, but more developed in the mouth with good remaining fruit and medium tannin.
Enjoyed this; pretty good overall and no rush to drink up.

Medium/deep colour; lots of primary red fruit on the nose; still plenty of tannin and good overall balance.

My thanks also to George for organising. A very informative tasting, with a few very good wines. As possibly previously suggested don't think I'm going to be searching out any more 91s and will definitely be drinking the other bottle of CkC soon (although not suspecting that's it's going to be any b...

The second of two bottles purchased from the Berry Bros broking list in December 1996.
First bottle was consumed around the time of purchase, and my memory is that it was pretty good.

Re: 1968 Quinta do Noval Colheita
The sales platform on wineowners.com is currently listing a six bottle (in bond) case of this for £875.
It's been on sale for a few months, so the seller might be open to offers?
And just to clarify, I'm not the seller.

Re: Noval 63 Question
Makes sense. I've got some Noval 70 where it's got the UK bottler info (Churton's) on the white part.
I'm guessing Noval supplied the labels to the shipper so they're fairly consistent.
