First page updated with list of confirmed attendees. I'll double check who is bringing what next week - if there is a problem let me know I probably have a few spares. I'll check all is still OK with B&F next week.

Re: Thu 08 Jun - 67@50 2017

Where do you want me to send the Coc 67 to? Since there will be postage involved, I would rather have a UK-based person bring this to reduce overall cost. Otherwise I will send this. Best Axel Hi Axel If you can send it to my work - I will bring it in with the others. I'll PM you next week when I g...

Re: Thu 08 Jun - 67@50 2017

I think option c) would work well. After a hard nights tasting work the option of a few aged tawnys might go down well.
There are still a couple of months to go and I am still working on a couple of VP's.

Re: Thu 08 Jun - 67@50 2017

My vote is (c). Let us know which vintages you're missing and we can see if we can track them down in anyone's cellar. I have a confession though. When get myself organised this weekend to take some bottles to the B&F for this tasting, I found that I do not own any Butler Nephew 1967. I have on...

Plastic capsules on 1960's bottles - cork failure?

I went to view a case of 1963 Noval yesterday and was disappointed to find that that 10 of 12 had corks that had dropped. They look to have been cellared reasonably well. All of the bottles were all sealed with plastic caps (as opposed to foil or wax) and there was no seepage. I have noticed this be...

Thank you for posting this and welcome to our group. Do you know the shipper/producer and is it solera or frasqueira?
Send me photo by PM - I have a few 1850 so will probably pass - if I (or other PF members) do not want it I will recommend some places to sell.

This weekend - 1974 Barros Colheita and a 1967 Taylors Single Harvest. The latter was rather kindly given to me as an early birthday gift by the importer.

Going through my cellar today I discovered a 1920 GC as well as the 1927 GC, I don't want to part with both for the tasting but I will offer one up (previously 27). If you have a preference for the 20 let me know.

I'd better back out now (of the tasting that is).

Re: 1977s from Magnum and Tappit Hen, Wed 1 Feb 2017, B&F

A great evening that was well organised (Thank You Charles). Most bottles were library releases except (T & F). There was good consistency across the 77's except Dow which showed a little weaker. This was my first tasting in The Ovens room at the B&F- In my humble opinion the room is more ac...
