Re: Warre's 1977 Vintage Port for sale (Valuation & Advice?)

Could you let us know what the port levels in the bottles are please - shine a torch through the glass if it is difficult to see - are they in the neck, and if so by how much, or below the bottom of neck (the shoulder). Also, could you please post some pictures of the tops of the bottles to see caps...

Holiday, or I would seek permission. I'll acquire some of the finest French supermarket wine I can find (probably cheap tawny, sigh) and join you in spirit.

What an amazing bottle to try. Thank you very much CMAG. Somewhat musty fruit cocktail to smell. To taste, musty, with orange, bruised apple, and strong underlying grapefruit. Dry. Complex. Echoes of sherry. Very long grapefruit finish. I took a little home and and am sipping it watching a program o...

25,000 UK out of UK led European coalition of 118,000 (when the 50,000 Prussians turned up) against 73,000 French. I've even read argued it was a German victory. :)

I'm also keen on the majors, with some that declared both. Might perhaps be interesting, if we can, to have both Taylor Vargellas 91 and Terra Feita 91.

Real fake wine.

Replica wine which is lab designed to alter cheaper wine (through the use of additives and blending) to taste very similar to more expensive big brand wine. Hmm.

The T48 was outstanding, with the F48 not far behind. The Mz58 very good and considerably better than I expected, a hous...

Re: 1994; Where's the value?
