Getting a whole cork out of a bottle
New discovery for me this morning when using the bagging technique to remove a whole cork from inside a bottle. Compostable food waste caddy bin bags are excellent for the task. Cork out with one pull. IMG_1820-compressed.jpeg The bag surface is slightly grippy which helps grab the cork, and they do...

Re: 1882 Magazine from Symington Family Estates
Alex - could you post a picture of the magazine, next to maybe Port Vintages or something that would show relative size? Trying to get an idea of what I’m searching for in the house…
Cheers

I am pretty sure I have one bottle left of the Ferreira (dumpy bottle), otherwise I think everything else would be matching things already out there. I’ll check and confirm.

Re: 1994s, B&F, Tue 26 Mar 2024
Wouldn’t hurt to do a 2003 horizontal now that it has reached 21 years of age. Indeed, though I've only just taken my first 94 case from storage, so if others are in a similar position I suspect we might not have convenient access to many yet. Good point! Maybe we pencil something in for 2025 and g...

Re: 1957 Graham
Interestingly, the typeface is different on the labels in each of Alex’s, Glenn’s and Phil’s GM68 and G48. Best seen by looking at the serif on the bottom of the H of Graham’s. On Alex’s pic, the serif is fat. On Glenn’s it is thin. On Phil’s G48 and GM68 it is thin with a curvature on the bottom o...
