Does Cruz 1992 exist?

I have information that Cruz vintage 1992 has been made. However, all pictures and auction results from the past I can find shows Cruz Colheita "vintage", that is obviously a harvest and not a vintage. Does anyone on this forum know if Gran Cruz vintage 1992 exists?

Cruz 1992

Does anyone have a Cruz vintage 1992, that I might buy? We are trying to set up a complete 1992 vintage tasting and Cruz is one of the few remaining brands.

re-stack each bay every five years or so. I will keep the bay with the wide span shelving, but will reserve it for cases that I expect to open over the next year or two.
No surprises in your home! That is an impressive long term planning!

Re: Stacking cases more efficiently

Stacks make FIFO (First In First Out) difficult though. I tend to want to use the older bottles at the bottom first and it is a lot of work to take out the bottom bottle from a stack, and thus I prefer to have the cases on shelves. When stacks are needed same size does save a lot of space and are mu...

It is for sure five different labels, but it might be the same juice in all bottles. As always it is difficult to know when different labels are used by the same Port producer.

Companhia Uniao dos Vinhos do Porto e Madeira Lda?

In 1989 a company named Companhia Uniao dos Vinhos do Porto e Madeira Lda, owned by Grand Cruz, made five different vintages: Aguila, Cabraco, Calvares, Dom Joaquim and Magales. As far as I know these brands has never been used again since then. Does anybody know why?

Re: Vintage Port by retailer in London

We were very glad to visit tpf tasting in London on May 8 and TBFT on the 9th. However, finding vintage port in London proved to be much more difficult than expected. Non of the major wine stores (nor minor) had any interesting vintages. If they had any at all it was 2-3 very common wines such as Ma...

I believe 1970 is a much better year than 1994. In 1970 almost all producers has made good port while in 1994 there are several that are not performing.

Re: 1994; Where's the value?

Just to keep in mind when buying 1994: this is a year that is not at all, as you might think, generally good. The best producers perform very well, but there are a lot of producers that do not deliver good quality. Top 10 or so are good, the rest is not, in my experience. Which have you found good,...

I agree with your question, but Martinez is actually a Spanish name
OK smartarse - Iberian name then.. :D

A quick Google suggests its Lusitanian equivalent is Martins
