I very much enjoyed the tasting and I learnt a lot given my almost zero prior knowledge of matters Madeira.

If not considered sacrilege, I found the raw Sercial went very well with tonic for a variation on white Port and tonic

1970 Taylor drunk in the mid 90’s. My Grandfather bought a significant parcel and passed it down to my farther and we enjoyed it every Christmas. Niepoort Crusted is my go to Port at the moment for cellar defence, supported by random LBV / SQVP (reduced from Waitrose or Sainsbury’s) and 1/2 bottles. I really do really rather like the Niepoort Crusted though....
