Two tastings in three days-what have you done that Mrs W doesn't want you around the house!?
I can only stretch to a tasting a week in April without feeling the financial and other pinch and so reluctantly I think that I'll have to decline.

Have decanted an additional bottle (for 'dagger') just in case we have a thirst on

Re: Warm-up for the BFT: Something nice from the 60s
I have but one bottle of S63 which I believe to be in good condition and so in the absence of anyone with a bigger population of S63 volunteering then I would be prepared to bring this.

Re: Tue 17th April 2018: cellar reduction and health check
Apologies:
Cheesy Welsh Rearebit for starters, followed by the Gammon, with black pudding, chips and heritage carrots but NO egg (let Julian have it before it touches my plate!)
Thanks

Re: Tue 10 April 2018, A Second Wind for 1963s?, Boot & Flogger
Yes, I agree with some of the comments above; there were always going to be some faulty bottles with this range of bottles and at this age, although I was so looking forward to trying the Niepoort and thus it was especially disappointing to find this bottle not in good nick. However, there were enou...

And just confirm (as those others present the other evening will have noted) that my two bottles are residing at the B&F.

Re: Thu 05 April 2018; mystery 1922; at the B&F
This was an interesting and very enjoyable tasting in which the initial quorum of wines were all virtually consumed at 8.30pm leading to the range being augmented firstly by the addition of a light and fresh tasting S70 (which I thought deserved of the point that I gave it) and then by a Cr63 (too l...

27 confirmed and put aside - Don't get too excited about the '12... proving a little difficult to locate. {Swoons} Thank you. Cockburn is, of the 1927s, third equal. In a top top vintage, too. Like an infatuated teenager I'm still hoping, despite mother's warnings, that the 1912 will fall for my ch...

Re: Second wind for 1963s? Tuesday 10 April 2018
If the appropriate opportunity arises then I will drop off my bottles at the B&F but like Phil, I'm not currently due in London before this tasting and therefore they will likely arrive pre-decanted. Foodwise, Truffle mac and cheese followed by Steak (medium-rare) with skinny chrips and green beans....

Re: Apostrophe crimes
This was typographical rather than grammatical with the second quotation mark inadvertently being inserted before the 's' rather than after and thus becoming an unintentional apostrophe.

OK B&F Now booked for the 5th June Some comments on the theme would be useful. either: a) we try and construct a vertical of examples from years ending with an '8' b) we go fo a 'blind' bring a bottle with an 8 in the vintage as suggested by Alex. Please confirm availability for the evening and you...

Porto From London City
Just received an e-mail from TAP announcing flights from London City Airport and it appears that a round trip next month will only set you back £78-that's so tempting!

Re: 1994 Tesco
I recall an early bottle of the 94 definitely mentioning QH but the later bottles didn't. It was a bit stewy last time I tried a bottle (of the non-QH labelled version). Will now be tempted into trying another bottle (of the five I have left).

Re: Cockburn Vertical, October 2018
This thread was quite prescient since before I saw it (on a circuitous trip into work this morning) and bagged the last seat, I had decanted a bottle of the Ck77 (the recent release) this morning. This is in preparation of a small cheese and Port soiree where it will be up against a G77 and a 40yr t...
