Re: Thu 15 Feb 2018: Mr. Wolfgang Starz

Believe I have successfully printed out the current version of the placemats (in colour) and so providing I don't leave them in the office (like last time) will bring them with me later. Will try to get there as early as I can.

Re: Thu 15 Feb 2018: Mr. Wolfgang Starz

… the placemats … • Please would somebody check them? • Please would an early-arriving somebody volunteer to print them? I assume that with Simon's unfortunate absence they will be re-drafted but whether it's down to cacheing, I can only view half of the glasses placemats? Otherwise, I could print ...

Food order updated. Failing cogent objection by 6pm Sunday 11th, it will be sent to the B&F.

Please see below the pricing for the steaks ordered, just let me know if all OK: Chateaubriand 1kg (to share) = £120 Chateaubriand 500g = £60 Centre Cut Fillet Steaks = £34 400g Beef rib-eye = £34 T-bone steak =£34 Rump steak = £28 I'd assumed the 500g chateaubriand to share (as linked, didn't know...

I see that Charles has suggested he might bring a T66-could I politely offer up this prospect instead since this is one 66 that I have more than handful of bottles of? Ian please bring your T66 I will bring something else suitable Thanks Charles and yes, this is shaping up very nicely. Is Mr Starz ...

Re: We need some tastings in the diary

I too would be interested in an Offley vertical although my preference would still be for a SW vertical which was one of the shippers we floated at the Calem vertical. Of course, a SW vertical would mean tracking down one of the near mythical 63s and I suspect (given the number Tom has anyway) that ...

As Port I will bring either Cockburns 55, Grahams 55 or Fonseca 66 whichever I find first! But on this day you are the guest! Shush! If our guest wishes to bring Ck55, G55 or F66 it would be churlish to refuse his request to thank us for our hospitality. We will, at least, be able to buy him dinner...

Re: RE: Re: Thu 15 Feb 2018: Mr. Wolfgang Stars

p.s. We (Julian) should really spell Wolfgang's name correctly in the thread title and first post, unless he's changing it to a British spelling? ;) Oops. Memory failure. Sorry Wolfgang. I see that unanimity has been downgraded to a consensus with regards to the suckling pig :D For my own part (and trying to take Alex's advice) I will choose: -the sausage croquettes -the bacalhau (unless this version comes with egg in which case I'll change to the Pumpkin from the Garden section) -c...

Will probably be there just after 6.30pm without a bottle of 1878. I think my side order of 'shallots' (aka green beans and shallots) has been omitted from the food order but will address on arrival.

Happy New Year to all!

Let's go blind-I really need to beat that blasted monkey this time!

For food:
Truffle Mac and cheese
Gammon steak and chips with the black pudding but no egg plus a side order of the shallots.

Thanks

On driving duty today but had a very nice D91 from a h/b yesterday; not one for the long term but drinking well at the moment. Probably a G70 for today into tomorrow. Oh and Santa really enjoyed his Maynards over 40yr tawny-the greedy old soak seems to have necked almost half the bottle :) Happy Chr...

The 1917's cork has been bleached and is now legible - just..!

The first part of the shipper is illegible, but it ends INEZ - so must be Martinez
If that's correct then a certain tome will require a revision as an Mz17 is not listed :D
