Re: Unusual Shaped Port Bottle

Brightwells have a couple of bottles in their current auction with the same flat side to them (n.b. both lower levels and colour drop, so no intention from me to bid). In this case they are clearly labelled Sandeman 1927, and bottled by George Sandeman and Son; it's only the second time I've seen po...

Re: Is 30yo VP darker than it used to be?

Tricky question. It seems to me that the 80's and early 90's ports are taking longer to mature than those of the 60's and 70's, though this might just be an erroneous perception, I am not sure. If true, then it might be that the ports are not any darker at the same stage of maturity, but are aging m...

Hi Daniel, Merry Xmas, and glad the F70 is standing the test of time. If it's the bottling I think it is, I believe I have one left (though I don't remember seeing it for a long time...). Hope you have an enjoyable break with good food, wine and company. Cheers! Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk

Looks good, thank you.
(If you make any further changes, suggest we can lose the cork sheets as there isn't usually space for them at the Xmas tasting)

Done. Please say whether satisfactory.
Thank you. Please could the number of wines per column be even, so that if I fold twice (to A6) we don't have the lie item folded in half? I would be happy with 6/column, others might prefer 4.

So, nearly ten years on I have a couple of bottles of this in my cellar. I last opened a bottle on my birthday in December 2013, so I figured 10 years on would be good to see the evolution. Re: Xmas 2023 - The Unknown Shipper & His Peculiar Friends

WOTN voting sheets is a good call. What’s a “foldable tasting note sheet”? Is that a normal tasting note sheet which you have folded? The original idea was to allow a single sheet of A4 to be folded twice, to create a compact A6 sheet with four "pages" with sections for each wine, perhaps...

The Quevedo White was incorrectly described in the original list in the first post, but now updated. It’s actually the “Very Old…” so amendment required to placemats. To be fair, it depends whether you're looking at the box or the label. It is really "Quevedo 1970 white", but due to regul...
