Re: Niepoort Vintage Port 2017 wins ‘Best Port Wine of the World’

Does anyone know when it is likely to be released.
In my view I think the 2011 in particular looks good value

There is a 2017 Bioma but I don’t believe it’s been released yet. I did here it will be a step up in price on previous vintages but let’s see!!

There was one low fill bottle that has been drunk already. They were all Martinez 55 ex a nice bottle of T63. Pretty happy with that lot.

Re: Latest buy

The Graham 1990 is absolutely superb, I have had a couple of bottles. Lucky you to get a large format bottle!
Congratulations!
I myself have just acquired as a latest buy a Warre 1920

Re: Favourite corkscrews

With old bottles I now just push the cork in decant and smash the bottle in a plastic bag with a hammer. Even using a bag to get out a fork can damage making it unreadable.
It also has the added advantage of being free😂

1920 at 100

Apologies if I missed it but does anyone fancy a small ( Maximum of 6 ) horizontal of 1920 @100.
Dates/admin to be decided if there is any interest. I would prefer to do it somewhere we could eat outside, perhaps a long lunch rather than the usual evening affair.

The Bioma 2011 is superb! I had one a couple of weeks ago. The 2011 vintage really was superb. I went a bit mad at release and I don’t regret having this in Magnums!

Re: Latest buy

I have actually been reasonably active in the auction market this year. I don’t think there has been a huge amount of supply which together with some more active buying generally of wine when people have been stuck at home has pushed prices up. However I have managed to acquire some bottles I am ver...

Has anyone actually turned a shed into a wine storage facility?

It’s seems to be more complicated than I had hoped!
