Re: 2011 Horizontal - London, Sunday 23rd April 2051

Of those not in bold (and therefore I assume currently missing) I can offer: Quinta da Senhora do Convento, Vista Alegre and Alves de Sousa.

Let's hope we all make it to 2051 ! :D

Re: Taylor 2016 vintage

An independent wine merchant in Yorkshire has it @ £585(ib) for a case of 12x75cl (although they list it as being en primeur, so it may be an old listing):

Re: Are Vintage Port prices increasing

The nearest copy to December 2016 that I could find that pubished port prices (going backwards by date from December 2016) was October 2016. Re: 2020 - A 1970 horizontal

Excellent idea !

Of those not mentioned so far, I have Butler Nephew, Ferrerira, Gonzalez-Byass & Sandeman (only 1 bottle of the Sandeman) which I would be happy to contribute. If there is space, I would like to attend also, but I am happy to contribute the bottles regardless.

Re: Latest buy

12 Offley Boa Vista 1994. Everyone has their price, it is said, and 9% off appears to be mine. I had been succesfully resisting this for quite a while, and then Nickolls and Perks have a sale. I bought this from N&P some time ago at the pre-sale price, which i thought was attractive at the time. Ha...

Re: Port for sale at auction

Bonham's catalogue for this sale is now on their website. The big question is whether to buy more than one case. If I went for a 24 bottle lot, would anyone be interested in taking a bottle or two from me at, say, high estimate / 20 per bottle? Yes, I would be interested if you decide to bid... (An...

Thank you very much for the welcome - sadly when I get to my cellar the labels do often look out of focus in real life... :)

Re: Wine Rack sizes

I got my racks from A & W Moore in Derbyshire (http://www.wineracks.co.uk), they seemed to provide an affordable rack that has proven strong enough. When I ran out of wall space, free standing units provided quite a dense solution, two double depth racks back to back (i.e. 4 bottles deep) with a woo...
