Re: Cockburn Vertical, Tue 2nd Oct 2018

Reconfirming please. The Ck70 I have is mid shoulder and possibly not of the quality that is required for a tasting of this magnitude and importance so it would be better if I adopt please, as I don’t have another bottle to offer other than a 1991, which I don’t think will be required.

Julian, Arthur Colley was brought up a couple of km from me and last time I looked I lived in Ireland so as we were part of the British empire at the time it’s fair to claim the victory as a joint effort😀🇮🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Sir, it is not Julian that controversially claimed Waterloo has an Engl...

Offline 3rd July B&F Red Room - Bring a bottle to share (sighted)

What a fantastic evening! The opportunity to have tasted a Waterloo vintage port and England win on penalties... an evening to savour indeed. Thanks are due to Simon for arranging the tasting. Special thanks to Christopher for sharing his Ferreira 1815 vintage. It is not disrespectful to say that th...

A last minute opportunity to attend has presented itself if there is room for one more? I would not need to add to the food order and won’t be able to get there until 19-19.30 either, but would love to join the tasting and would be bringing a 1970 Souza VP bottled by Hall & Bramley.

I would like to be at the tasting. I need to check what limited 70 ports I have and check conditions and that they will be good for 2020.

Julian - Good luck

Derek - I am around from about 3pm and more than happy to assist with decanting and set up if you would like?

Alex - my early availability on the day also means I would be free to check out the BBR pop up too, so I hope to see you there before the tasting.

No food for me thank you. I will know on Monday if I will be there early enough to set up... or whether I need to wait for Rosie to come home which will mean not getting there until 7-7.30pm

Re: Second wind for 1963s? Tuesday 10 April 2018

With great regret I have to withdraw from this tasting. I have an event that evening and think it impossible I could be there before 9pm so I need to do the sensible thing and withdraw from what I am sure will be one of the greatest tastings. Very disappointed but I am sure a replacement will be fou...

I am afraid I have no 1960 port but as I am not at the 8s tasting a few weeks after, I was going to bring a GM68 if that is acceptable.

As they say on FTLOP a lot... +1

Hadn’t realised how cheap it could be... I might build 2 at the end of the garden. Now I just need 400 cases too! 🤔

I would love to come along as I am in town already that week for my WSET Level 3, and this is the best way possible of swotting up for the fortified wine module. Unfortunately, my course means that on this occasion I would not be available to help with the set up. Brilliant! I have added SCD to the...
